The Phoenix Disaster Response Group (PDRG) offers a unique blend of traditional and revolutionary disaster response training and support options. PDRG incorporates social networking, knowledge management, and community integration to create a rapid response system that mitigates threats while promoting early development activities. OMI staff are leaders in the field of disaster medicine.  Dr. David Callaway is working closely with members of the Taubman Center at the Harvard Kennedy School to design new paradigms of domestic and international response.  Dr. Greg Ciottone and Dr. Jon Burstein edit the two premier textbooks on disaster medicine (Publications). Dr. Alejandro Baez has extensive disaster preparedness experience in the Caribbean and Central America.

The team stands ready to assist with deployment of disaster jump kits, coordinate response command structures, facilitate civil-military interactions, or provide novel information technology solutions.  For information regarding ongoing operations in Haiti please click here.
