Operational Medical Support
The OMI provides operational medical support for institutions and agencies working in austere or dangerous environments. The OMI service offerings include medical threat assessment, staff preparedness training, medical contingency planning, advice on staffing models, and remote medical services and monitoring.
The OMI can deploy self sustaining disaster response teams at the request of host nations in order to coordinate multi-agency and multi-national response efforts. The teams are expert disaster management consultants that empower local responders and create structure in chaos.
OMI is currently providing critical operational support in Haiti. To read the recent OMI HIT Rescue report to the United Nations, click here.
